beads Casentino
Casentino Who says you know I have before my eyes is the natural beauty cultural ones. If Camaldoli, La Verna, Poppi and other historic towns of the valley are known in Europe and some even globally, it must be said that the Casentino offers much more. For many years my "otium" is the preferred depth of historical and archaeological sites of this fortunate land. Fundamental tool of my beloved are the readings series: Traversari, Beni, Fatucchi, Scarino, Cherubini and Vannini. Very interesting are the arguments assigned to their students by teachers just mentioned which can be read in public libraries. The Casentino that I find through the readings, then I check it on the ground, often in solitude, walking in history. For some time, are no longer just to enjoy such grace. The old roads, "Ways of the mules, the pearls are unknown or ignored that should be part of cultural policies, appropriate, however, are not taken. Tuscany is a land of passage between the north and south of the peninsula and this has lots of old routes. For many years, praiseworthy cultural associations of other parts of Italy have undertaken the restoration of ViaFrancigena side of the Tyrrhenian coast, while working hard on the Adriatic for the recovery of the Romea. Recently opened the way to San neighbor who, from Sarsina skirts the ridges of the valley including in the path is Camaldoli Prataglia Badia. The Casentino, a time not too far away, was a land of fast switch to the Romagna and the Tiber Valley. The "Way of the Master Louis Podesta, real-time highway, connecting Florence and Chiusi Caprese and is only visible on the ground awaiting restoration. The policy so far has proved unable to exploit this treasure, perhaps because there are too many heads should agree on common interests. I pointed out "the ways of mules" to the Conference on "The Parks for environmental protection ", held in the Palazzo Vecchio February 24, 1994. Anyone wishing to know more about or refresh your memory can see Georgofili, 1994, pp 45 to 45.52. The historical archives of the municipal Casentino are extremely important, but only in some cases receive the respect they deserve because they contain the truth of human affairs. A community that fails to protect its memory is destined to fall prey becomes alienation and injustice. On the state and the proper management of these treasures are not adequately valued reference to me "Michelangelo was born in Casentino" ed. Polistampa. Special consideration should be given to voluntary cultural.
